they do excist I have seen them. (also read oher comments)
ground vehicles:
light: LAV meduim: I saw a Crawler before, I also heard that mechs were planned but probly for DLC heavy: tanks
air vehicles:
light: Fighters (I have plans allready to be a fighter pilot) meduim: Dropship heavy: probly gunship
I can`t wait to get to play in one of them. |

no, 5 diffrent levels of piloting doesn`t mean 5 diffrent air vehicles, example:
piloting lv1 + Gallente (or other race) dropship lv1 = Gruemsnes
piloting lv 3 + Gallante dropship lv3 (or was it 5?) = Prometheus
piloting is the level of diffuctly a player can controll of an air vehicle while gallante (or other race) dropship (or other air craft) skill is the elvel of Dropship the Gallanet race entrusts your worth of piloting it...or its a permit or soemthing |

whats your reasoning of that? you only know that they are in the full game, nothing else (correct) and 1-2 RPG shots should take down a standard (there shouldn`t be a militia fighter... should there?) we don`t even know if they use small missle/ blaster/ railgun turrets (1 per wing) we can easily assume they will, aswell as use propulsion, sensors, sheild boosters ETC but you shouldn`t be calling out costs for something that is geniraly unknown. |

I completly disigree, intill we know if its fast enough to out run rockets from a Swarm luancher (wich will most likely destroy it in 1-2 shots, we know its the strength of the LAV) and the cost of an Instalation wich will tear it apart like a LAV EXCAPT for the fact that the fighter has less cover (but might be faster and more easy to turn/dodge) AND the missle hybrid/large turret showed us that it had a lcok on feature like the sawrm luancher (chances are missles will be anti air guns inless it says dumb missle) ONCE we know more we could start talking balance. |

Yep. I would bet fighters will be extremely squishy, but with very high maneuverability. Since they're only a huge threat to other aircraft, I doubt they'll need too much as far as balancing.
agreed except I`m guessing they are good tank destroyers/ HAV destroyers.... atleast 1 aircraft has to fill that role and dropship doesn`t seem like it does. |

so your imagining Battle Front 1 A2Ging but this time if you touch an object like the groun or building you die. I beleive this to work inless the fighters have a higher flight ceiling. I also expect a pull back on R3 to slow, forward to accelirate or something (L3 to turn and all).
dang I really can`t wait till I get to try one of theese, maybe even see one in fighting gameplay. |

I think they'll be deathtraps, so they shouldn't be terribly expensive. Gunships kill ground troops and vehicles, dropships carry troops into battle, and fighters try to stop both of those from wreaking havok. Previous mentions of Fighters by the Devs have stated that they're far too fast for our current maps, and that they'd be "hitting the redline constantly". I don't think Swarm Launchers are going to be much of a threat.
oh, I was expecting that I would have to learn a dodging technuiqu, I`ve been practicing in my dropship (with succsess). well hopefully they have slown them down, otherwise I`m not going to be a fighter pilot oftenly |

Actually, I had a thread a little while back that suggested that all forms of fixed-wing aircraft have access to the entire district, and be able to provide support in all battle-zones of the district, since as you can see in EVE, even the fullest extent of our current maps barely accounts for a fraction of a district.
sounds like this will be fun, I think I was thinking Star Hawk when dodging came into mind. Also do you think the planes can out fly/run small AND large missle turrets, I saw a video for a HAV with a hybrid missle turret and it had a lock on. |
